Since I will be heading to my dad's in August I was thinking of ordering the hedman elites and having them shipped to his place along with the collectors. I am just going to cut the stock front Y and weld the collectors on there. My question is, can I used his mig welder to do that or should I fab it up and take it to an exhaust shop?

If you can get the stock y-pipe to bend into the correct angle you can weld it. I was unable to on mine and had to take it to the exhaust shop so they could properly align it before welding.

100% agree! If you think the angles are correct tack them and recheck. Watch your heat setting so you don't burn through and warp your angles. Once you check and recheck for fitment burnem in. Are you using shielding gas or flux wire?
Exhaust shop would be your best choice if your unsure about weld settings or technique. Know where your fuel lines are in relationship to torch tip!
Have fun!

I think I might just wait. My time line has been shifted and I'm not going to have as much time up there as I thought.
